This Feminist Biblical Interpretation class will be an interactive Zoom experience where we will learn and reflect on a text that is relevant to Advent. We will be doing three things in this class. First, participants will reflect on their identities and ask themselves who they are as biblical interpreters. Second, participants will learn about feminist biblical interpretation and the process of reading against the grain. Third, participants will use their new skills and knowledge to read the story of Advent against the grain. This class will include large group instruction and large and small group discussion. There will be some time for Q&A and sharing of further resources for feminist biblical interpretation.
