Once again, organs at Community of Christ Auditorium and Temple, in Independence, Missouri, USA are featured in the online Super Bowl Sunday concert. The free 13 February event is at 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, and it will be available to view for about a month.
Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, organist Jan Kraybill has recorded her 23rd Annual Super Bowl Sunday concert. This means anyone, anywhere with an internet connection can watch the Grammy-nominated musician at the time of the viewer’s choice after 13 February.
This year's concert, "Memories and Mutations," is inspired by the virus that has shaped our lives. COVID-19 causes us to treasure memories of people and moments, and adapt and change our behaviors even as the virus mutates and we learn more about it. This concert includes a brand-new piece, and a duet played entirely by the organist’s feet!
