Making a Way Out of No Way - Lent 2022

Prepare for a sacred journey exploring the theme “Making a Way out of No Way,” drawn from an expression of African-American culture and Womanist theology. Beginning on March 2, we will wander the Lenten path with sacred invitations to alternative ways of being and seeing in our world. During these six weeks we will root ourselves in liberation, justice, and a holistic vision of salvation, here on this earth.

Ash Wednesday is an experience that calls our attention to the fragility of our humanity, but also to the expansive creative possibilities that exist within and around us. Through original music, art, and spiritual practice, we will begin this Lenten journey of making a way out of no way together, guided by gifted musicians.

Original plans for Ash Wednesday included a live-streamed experience, similar to our Advent worship in December. In response to the current Omicron Covid variant, we are instead creating a pre-recorded worship, safely prepared with equivalent attention and intention. This experience will premiere at 7 PM Central Time on March 2, available on both Facebook and Youtube.
