Fast-o-Thon

May 2-3: Drop off by 12 noon on Saturday, event ends with potluck beginning at noon on Sunday

All participants will be fasting with a goal of lasting 24 hours.  Participants are expected to take pledges to raise money for Outreach International, a worldwide charitable organization.

Participants will learn about food insecurity, what we can do about it, and how Outreach International addresses community needs in the places they operate.

We will engage in activities to serve other organizations:

Color a Smile, an organization that Distributes tens of thousands of drawings every month to senior citizens, our troops overseas, and anyone in need of a smile.  We will be coloring pages for their distribution.

Foster Love, an organization committed to transforming the lives of foster youth in America.  We will be assembling either bicycles or skateboards to provide to local children in foster care.  

We will also have a lot of fun and group bonding through this shared struggle of fasting.  As part of this experience there will be a chance to participate in the church service on Sunday morning.
